Remaining in the moment, also means you give yourself permission to feel. Grief is not a lack of faith. Tears are not rebellion. Even Jesus wept. The difference is: we don’t let our emotions drive the car while God is locked in the trunk.
And yes…praying for a perpetrator’s soul does not excuse the harm. It simply refuses to let evil multiply by taking over our own hearts. We can want justice and still refuse hatred.
